FAQ
1. Opening Hours
Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Please note that hours may vary on public holidays or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will always be posted as a notice on our website.

2. Quotation Policies
Please note that all quotes are estimates and may change following assessment. Verbal quotations are provided as a guide only and are not fixed. Written quotations can be provided upon request, but are still subject to change if further work is required.

3. Do we work on motorbike gauges?
We currently carry out only very limited repairs on certain models. Our main specialty is CBX restorations. We recommend getting in touch with us before bringing your unit in to confirm eligibility.
4. Do you have to make a booking?
A booking isn’t required for most repairs — you're welcome to drop off your instrument cluster at your convenience. However, we do recommend making a booking, especially if you need a fast turnaround or have a more complex repair. Booking ahead helps us prioritise your job and keep things running smoothly.
5. What is the time frame for most repair jobs?
It can be variable. We recommend preparing to leave the job with us for up to 7 working days. Full restorations can take up to 6-8 weeks. Due to the high volume of work we may experience scheduling shifts.
6. Can you post a job to us?
Yes. Please provide us contact details as well as a repair description with the job.

7. Do we offer warranty?
Most repairs come with a 12-month warranty, except for airbag repairs which carry a 14-day warranty. Warranty coverage depends on factors such as the condition of the cluster, and whether it has been worked on after our repair. For any warranty claim, please provide your invoice or job number. You are welcome to confirm the warranty conditions with us after an assessment has been made.

8. Do we remove or install gauges?
No, we do not have the facilities to hold onto the vehicles. Your usual auto electrician can provide this service. Please note it is not advised to drive the vehicle without the instrument panel.

9. Struggling to get in contact?
As a small business with one technician, our priority is completing repairs efficiently while maintaining quality. While responses may take time, we appreciate your patience and will notify you as soon as your repair is ready. Due to the high volume of calls and emails, some messages may unfortunately be missed. We sincerely apologise if this occurs, and encourage you to follow up with us again if needed.

10. Do we accept American Express cards or use Capricorn?
No, unfortunately we do not.

11. Do we offer same day service?
No, unfortunately we do not. We work on a queue-based system, which means we can’t move jobs ahead of others. If you have an urgent deadline that requires your vehicle, we recommend scheduling your repair with sufficient lead time. While we always aim to stay on schedule, some repairs can take longer than anticipated to ensure the job is done right.

12. Do we offer courier collections within the Perth metro?
Yes, we can arrange courier collections and deliveries within the metro area. The cost is on average $19.50 + GST. Same-day pickups must be organised before 10 am. Please contact us if you’d like to book this service.

13. Do we charge for diagnostics?
We do not charge for diagnostics. Clusters are inspected and tested before quotation. This process may take a few days, but it is not subject to labour fees unless work goes beyond routine testing.
14. Do we supply parts or gauges?
We do not supply replacement parts or gauges directly. However, we do stock speedometer transducers. Please feel free to enquire with us to check availability.

15. Can we repair clusters with water damage or corrosion?
Repairs are very limited. You are welcome to bring your unit in for an assessment, but we generally recommend sourcing a replacement cluster with the same part number, which we can transfer the original data onto. Please note that we cannot provide a warranty on second-hand or replacement clusters, and both the old and new panels are required for the transfer.

16. Refurbishment process
We recommend sending a photo of your instrument cluster to our email first for a visual assessment. From there, each job follows its own process, with timeframes varying depending on the work required. We offer custom-made parts, mostly produced in-house through silk screening and machining. Please note that we do not provide chroming services.

17. Condition of the cluster when dropped off
We do not work on disassembled gauges or units that have had self-repair attempts. Please ensure the cluster is fully assembled when dropped off, otherwise we may have to decline the repair. We can not offer warranty to disassembled or previously worked on gauges.
